WORCESTER City travel to fourth-placed Slimbridge looking to keep the pressure on leaders Corsham Town.

The Blue and Whites sit two points behind the leaders with four games in hand. The trip to Royal Wootton Bassett Town was the latest postponement last Saturday.

Chris Cornes men were able to get on the field on Tuesday evening at local rivals Pershore Town.

City advanced to the next round of the Marsh Challenge Cup with a 5-2 win thanks to a Liam Lockett brace and goals from Kyle Belmonte, Jamie Insall and skipper Alex Mace.

Tomorrow’s trip sees the in-form City side face play-off contenders in Slimbridge in the first of two games in four days.

City will make a repeat journey on Tuesday (January 30) to face their hosts in the Wiseman Lighting Floodlit Cup.

The hosts go into the game on the back of a 3-2 win at Sixways against Worcester Raiders on Saturday.

Raiders host Thornbury Town at Sixways tomorrow as the bid to climb back towards the Hellenic League play-off spots.

Meanwhile Malvern Town now face at 10-day break before they can return to the comforts of the HD Anywhere Community Stadium to face Exmouth Town.

Next Saturday’s clash will be the Hillsiders first game in almost a month. Town have seen trips to Paulton Rovers and Tuesday’s visit to Tavistock Town fall victim to the weather.

Town remain 11th in the Southern League Division One (South) table.)
