Worcester pull off signing of Hednesford captain

Worcester Editorial 20th May, 2015 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016

WORCESTER City have made their first signing of the summer by bringing in former Hednesford Town captain Darren Campion.

The 27-year-old left back joins the Blue and Whites after four successful seasons with the Pitmen, including in 2014 where he was named in the 2014 Skrill North team of the year.

Joint manager Carl Heeley said: “Darren was high on our list of priorities this summer and we are delighted that he wanted to come and join the club after stiff competition for his signature from other interested parties.

“He is a natural leader who we believe will strengthen our defence and add quality going forward.”
