WORCESTER Wolves will kick-off their 2014/15 British Basketball League campaign against last season’s table-toppers Newcastle Eagles.

The curtain-raiser will see Paul James’ side make the trip north on Friday, September 26 in what will be a repeat of last season’s BBL Play-off Final which memorably saw Wolves win at Wembley Arena.

Last season was Wolves’ best in history after the squad picked up the BBL Trophy and the Play-offs to make for a memorable campaign.

But the season also saw Wolves finish in third place in the BBL Championship, just two points behind winners Newcastle’s final tally of 56 points.

The week after the season opener against Newcastle, Wolves will begin their second season at the University of Worcester Arena against Cheshire Phoenix on Friday, October 3.

Two days later on October 5 Wolves will be one of the first teams to visit the Trafford Soccerdome – the new home of Manchester Giants.

Wolves’ annual home post Christmas fixture this year will be against new BBL side Leeds Carnegie on December 28 before starting life in 2015 away against Surrey United on January 3.

The climax of the regular season will see Wolves take on Leicester Riders at home on April 17 before their final league fixture away at Durham Wildcats on April 19.
