Wildcats purr after City treat

Worcester Editorial 18th Oct, 2017   0

YOUNGSTERS from the Worcester Wildcats SSE Girls football team enjoyed matchday at the Victoria Ground when Worcester City hosted Shepshed Dynamo recently.

A number of the girls attended the game as mascots and ball girls and thoroughly enjoyed themselves despite the rain.

Training sessions run on a Sunday morning between 10am and 11am at the University of Worcester and regularly attracts more than 20 girls of all abilities for fun focused sessions.

Wildcats chiefs aim to provide girls aged five to 11 years old a pathway into football.

The Worcestershire FA and Worcester City are committed to building the female game in the county to provide opportunities for girls to play for local Charter Standard clubs.

And due to the success of the centre to date, club bosses are now on the lookout for new teams for the girls to play in and are therefore looking for additional girls to come along and enjoy the fun.
