Vesty on video - Quins

Aaron Wise 10th Nov, 2017

WARRIORS continue their Anglo-Welsh Cup campaign this Sunday with a trip to Twickenham Stoop to take on Harlequins.

Sam Vesty’s side picked up a losing bonus point on Friday night against Sale Sharks and will be hoping to go one better in London, not only keep their pool stage qualification hopes alive, but also to build momentum ahead of their return to the Premiership.

Vesty has picked a fairly unchanged side from last week and will be hoping his youthful team can put in another spirited performance, against a Quins side that won 30-29 away to Saracens last week.

With Worcester’s 41-35 Premiership defeat to Harlequins a fortnight ago still fresh in the mind, this could be another high-scoring and attack dominated affair.

What does Vesty think Quins will bring to the table?

The Sixways outfit signed South African hooker Kurt Haupt on a short-term deal earlier this week.

The former Southern Kings player has been brought in due to hookers Joe Taufete’e, Niall Annett and Matti Williams being unavailable through international duty (Taufete’e) and injuries.

The experienced hooker has been training with his new teammates.

Kick-off at Twickenham Stoop is 3pm.
