NEW ARRIVAL Ben Te’o has been named in England’s provisional 45-man Elite Player Squad (EPS) for their pre-season training camp this month.
The 29-year-old will join up with the national squad at London’s Lensbury Hotel this Saturday to Monday (August 8) for training, planning meetings and individual reviews in preparation for the Autumn internationals against South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia.
Te’o, who has also represented New Zealand and Samoa on the international stage, is one of a number of uncapped players selected to attend the camp and is joined in the squad by former Warriors forward Mike Williams.
Warriors head coach Carl Hogg said: “Ben is a fantastic world class player. We’re all looking forward to seeing him in a Warriors jersey soon.
“He’s obviously got huge pedigree through rugby league and made the conversion to union very successfully. He’s a class player with good skills and is a top athlete with a really good rugby brain.
“He was integrated into our squad last week after coming back from Australia with England and we look forward to him joining us for pre-season ahead of the new campaign.”
England will announce their final EPS on Friday, September 30, ahead of the opening clash against South Africa at Twickenham on Saturday, November 12.
