WORCESTER Wolves’ in-form star Zaire Taylor says his team will have to be on guard at all times when they come up against the Durham Wildcats tomorrow night (Friday, 7.30pm).
Wolves will be looking to record their seventh straight league win and remain top of the BBL Championship when they enter the court at the University of Worcester Arena.
Unlike Wolves, Durham have had a rather disappointing first half of the season losing nine of their first 15 league matches and currently are placed ninth in the table.
But Taylor, who this week was named Molten BBL Player of the Month for December, knows Durham will provide his team with a tough test.
“The Durham Wildcats’ biggest threat is a combination of having the consistent all-round play of Ralph Bucci, and having a lot of shooters all over the floor,” he said.
“When you play a team like that you can never count them out, because at any moment they can shoot their way back into the game.”
Worcester Wolves director of basketball Paul James added: “They are a very unselfish team and have a bunch of players who can all score. They move the ball really well and run the floor well.
“We will need to slow them down and have our transition to defence working very well.”
The two sides last met at the start of December when Wolves came out on top in a high-scoring match 100-86.
