WORCESTER Warriors have confirmed the signing of wing Alfie Garside from Championship club Bedford Blues.
Garside helped Bedford finish as runners-up to champions Ealing Trailfinders in the Championship this season.
He scored six tries this season including a hat-trick against London Scottish.
Garside said: “Joining Worcester Warriors marks the beginning of a new challenge which I’m really looking forward to.
“There’s a real sense of purpose at Sixways. They are building something fresh and something strong.
“I can’t wait to get stuck in, grow with the squad and bring energy to every matchday.
“The excitement around the club is contagious.”
Warriors head coach, Matt Everard added: “Alfie has shown how dangerous he is consistently this season.
“Very physical and abrasive, he doesn’t take a backwards step either side of the ball.
“When I met Alfie, it was obvious I was speaking to a person who is desperate to improve as an individual which will be a key focus of ours.”
Garside has a masters degree from University of Bath and made over 40 appearances in BUCS Super Rugby during his studies.
