WORCESTER Warriors racked up a half-century of points in an eight-try 50-33 victory against Caldy.

The home side secured a bonus point by half time as Thabo Ndimande crossed twice either side of tries from Josh Bassett and Tim Anstee at Sixways Stadium.

And second-half tries from Austin Wallis, James Tyas, Jake Garside and James Short helped Warriors to a fourth successive victory.

The result means Worcester remain second in the Champ Rugby table behind only unbeaten league leaders Ealing Trailfinders.

Caldy stunned Worcester after just four minutes as Charlie Hyde finished in the corner following some early pressure from the visitors.

However, Worcester responded two minutes later when Bassett strolled over after Tom Hendrickson broke through the Caldy defence as Will Reed kicked the first of five conversions.

The visitors reclaimed the lead on 11 minutes as Will Robinson collected his own chip and chase and dotted down as Kieran Wilkinson added the extras.

In a frantic opening quarter-hour, Ndimande finished off a powerful driving maul to score his first try of the game.

And Ndimande scored his second try of the game on 20 minutes when he cut in from the left and powered through a defender to dot down.

Caldy then lost Ryan Higginson to the sin-bin following a succession of penalties.

And Worcester crossed for their bonus point try on 36 minutes as Anstee forced his way over the line from close range.

Warriors picked up where they left off five minutes after the break when Wallis went over from the back of another driving maul.

Caldy responded with their third try four minutes later as Sam Olyott spun away from a tackle to score as Wilkinson converted.

Worcester ran in a sixth try on 54 minutes as the home side quickly shifted the ball to the right corner from a ruck and Tyas touched down.

Warriors scored a seventh try on 63 minutes when Lane spotted a gap in the Caldy defence and produced a grubber kick which Garside picked up and finished in the right corner.

And the home side crossed again three minutes later as Ndimande pounced on a loose ball and offloaded to Roma Zheng who fed Short to run-in down the left wing.

Caldy scored a couple of late tries as Ollie Hearn dotted down twice, both converted by Lewis Barker, to ensure the visitors came away with a bonus point.

Worcester are next in action away at Nottingham on Friday, February 27 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Lady Bay.
