WORCESTER Warriors claimed a fifth straight win with a 40-24 bonus point victory against Cornish Pirates.
A brace of tries from makeshift wing Khalik Kareem and further scores from Will Trewin, Juan Gonzalez, Tiff Eden and Will Reed sealed a six-try win for Matt Everard’s side at Sixways Stadium.
The result means Worcester remain second in the Champ Rugby table, seven points behind leaders Ealing Trailfinders.
Despite the final scoreline, the Pirates scored the game’s first try on 12 minutes when Josh King powered over from the back of a driving maul.
However, Worcester responded sox minutes later as Trewin crossed against his former club from Louis Brown’s offload.
The Pirates reclaimed the lead on 22 minutes when visiting captain Dan Hiscocks gathered his own chip and chase to score in the left corner.
Warriors hit back again two minutes later as Gonzalez scored his first try in Worcester colours after Reed danced through the Cornish line.
And Gonzalez then turned creator on 28 minutes when he claimed a high ball and fed Rory Taylor who took the ball close to the line before Kareem powered over from close range.
Worcester scored their bonus point try on 35 minutes as Eden picked up the ball from a ruck and sniped over the line to send Warriors into the break with a 14-point lead.
The home side struck again just 10 minutes into the second period when Reed collected an overthrow at a lineout and raced to the line to score close to the posts.
And Kareem grabbed his second try of the game on 57 minutes as he powered through several tackles on his way to the try line.
Cornish captain Hiscocks dotted down again on 63 minutes after Chester Ribbons broke the line.
And the visitors secured a bonus point six minutes from time as Harry Yates rose highest to claim an aerial ball and dot down.
Worcester are next in action against Richmond on Saturday, December 13 with kick-off at 2pm at Sixways.
