SEVERN Stars signed off from the University of Worcester Arena with a 72-57 win against Team Bath in the club’s final-ever home game.

The Stars came from behind to claim victory on an emotional night in Worcester with the club not involved in Netball Super League’s relaunch next season.

Bath started the brighter of the two sides and took a 19-13 lead after the first quarter, before Stars roared back with 23 goals in the second to take a 36-31 advantage into the break.

The home side maintained their dominance in the second half, keeping Bath to 12 goals in both quarters to see out a comfortable victory.

Betsy Creak top-scored for Stars with 42 goals on an emotional evening for the hosts, as they played in front of their fans for the final time.

Rebekah Airey and Jasmine Brown also impressed in defence with four gains apiece.

Stars finish the regular season with a trip to Loughborough Lightning on Saturday, June 15 with the match to start at 6pm at the Sir David Wallace Arena.

Stars then face Manchester Thunder in their first-ever semi-final appearance on Saturday, June 22 with the game to begin at 4pm at Belle Vue.
