LIVE updates from our man at Aggborough, Jonny Bonell, where Worcester City continue their Vanarama Conference North season against Oxford City.

The live update has now finished.

– In the end it was a good win for Worcester, who overall deserve the three points here. A much-improved second half performance resulted in Wayne Thomas getting the only goal of the game on the hour mark. Worcester could have added more but will be pleased to get their first win of 2015 under their belts here. Thanks for following tonight.

FULL TIME: WORCESTER CITY 1-0 OXFORD CITY

90min: Clock has struck and gone past 90 but no added time has been indicated as of yet.

89min: Worcester keeping the ball in the Oxford half but Thomas is caught offside and the visitors have a free-kick.

86min: A succession of Worcester corner causing problems in the Oxford back-line here.

83min: Rodriguez has blazed two efforts over for Oxford, the latest a free-kick inside the D and Dunkley has made lively bursts towards the visiting box. Gudger has also been brought on for Khan.

71min: Coulson’s dangerous ball finds Barcelos at the pack post but his effort is well blocked by Haynes.

70min: SUB: Geddes brought off for Waldron in City’s second change.

68min: SUB: Pearson comes on for Pond in Oxford’s final change.

66min: Stonehouse delivers a good ball from the left which goes straight through but Benjamin’s weak effort at the back post is easily held by Veiga.

Attendance: 392

62min: Worcester could have added two more. Gater picked the ball up on the edge of the box and drilled wide before Nti’s speculative 30-yard lob hits the top of the net.

More on goal: Geddes’ corner was flicked on by Nti and Thomas was there a the back post to cushion a volley into the far corner. Just rewards for their start to the second half.

60min: GOAL: Worcester City 1-0 Oxford City – Wayne Thomas

59min: Gater bursts into the box and squares across the face but Stonehouse is there again to clear well. All Worcester now.

58min: SUB: Barcelos and Rodriguez on for Wilson andWinters for Oxford.

57min: Worcester mounting a real charge on the Oxford goal now. Symons does well in the box to hold off Forfana and fire an effort which is tipped iover by De La Cruz. Corner wasted by Deeney.

56min: Dunkley, Nti and Geddes link well but the linesman’s flag denies the latter as he shoots at De La Cruz.

54min: Dunkley has injected pace that Worcester were lacking in the first half. His charge results in a right footed effort well blocked.

52min: Dunkley pulled back on the edge of the box and Geddes puts the ball down but the midfielder curls his effort just over the top.

49min: SUB: Dunkley is brought on for Brown in an early change for the hosts.

47min: Coulson causing danger again down the right as his low cross has to be dealt with by Veiga.

Players back out here and we are back underway.

– Really not much to shout out about here at Aggborough. A lacklustre first half from both sides sees them go in goalless at the break. Oxford started stronger, keeping the ball well but with no end product. Worcester ended the half stronger and Stonehouse did well to clear Brown’s effort before Symons should have scored just before the break when firing wide from six yards.

HALF TIME: WORCESTER CITY 0-0 OXFORD CITY

1 minute of added time.

44min: Khan crosses deep and finds Haynes but the defenders effort is blocked and runs through to De La Cruz.

41min: Worcester should be 1-0 up here. Brown appeared to be jumped on by Stonehouse in the box but he picked himself up to play in Symons who somehow fired past the post from six-yards.

38min: Best chance of the game as Nti plays it to Geddes who flicks the ball over the top to Brown. The midfielder bursts into the box and chips the ball over De La Cruz but Stonehouse gets back well to clear from inside the six yard box with Symons breathing down his neck.

36min: Ambitious effort from Coulson as Veiga clears long but is way off his line and the right back half volleys from the half-way line but it is easily held by Veiga.

34min: Coulson cross blocked by Nti for an Oxford corner. Comes to nothing.

32min: Worcester have their first attempt of the game. Gater wins the ball on the edge of the box and feeds Brown who strikes at goal but it takes a nick and goes for a corner. Comes to nothing.

31min: Wilson puts a ball into the Worcester box which is well cleared to Benjamin but his strike is tame and Veiga easily claims. It is a shot nonetheless though.

27min: Brown robbed in the middle of the park but Winters’ ball looking for Benjamin is too heavy and Veiga comes out to collect.

25min: “We want out Symmo back” chants coming from the small pocket of Oxford fans who have made the trip, clear favourite during his short stint there.

23min: Coulson puts in another dangerous delivery which Hutchison again does well to clear.

20min: Winters takes aim and he gets it up and over the wall but it is comfortable for Veiga to deal with. First chance of any note.

19min: Benjamin bursts in from the right and is brought down by Khan. Dangerous free-kick 20-yards out, very central.

16min: Nti receives the ball from Symons but he misplaces his return pass and Oxford can easily clear.

14min: Worcester struggling to gain a foothold in the game so far. Geddes almost plays Khan into trouble with a wayward backpass but the defender recovers well to clear.

11min: Coulson finds space on the right hand side and puts a dangerous cross in but no Oxford player is attacking the ball and Haynes can chest it back to Veiga. Good spell this for the visitors.

8min: Lapoujade does well to cut out a Deeney header as Geddes looked to burst through the middle.

6min: Worcester starting to grow into the game as Nti is unlucky to concede a throw-in after chasing down Stonehouse.

3min: Early spell of dominance from Oxford as Winters plays in Stonehouse down the left but his dangerous cross is well cleared by Hutchison. Confident start by the visitors.

1min: City get us underway from left to right in their regular blue and white stripes, Oxford all in yellow as Khan shepherds the ball out under pressure from Wilson for an early City goal kick.

KICK OFF

– The teams are out here at Aggborough.

– A minutes silence will be held before kick off in memory of former City player Eddie Wilcox, who played almost 400 games for the club between 1951 and 1960.

– Heeley makes two changes to the team that battled back to a 2-2 draw with Hednesford. Jose Veiga and Shab Khan come in for Nathan Vaughan and Danny Jackman respectively. The latter two drop out of the 16 but Mike Symons starts up front against his former club. For the visitors, Salva De La Cruz does get the nod in between the sticks despite seeing red in Oxfords 3-0 defeat to Barrow at the weekend.

Here are today’s teams:

Worcester City: Jose Veiga; Kyle Haynes, Graham Hutchison, Wayne Thomas, Shab Khan; Aaron Brown, Ellis Deeney (C), Connor Gater; Daniel Nti, Sean Geddes; Mike Symons SUBS: Connor Gudger, Tristan Dunkley, Jacob Rowe, Dean Waldron, Connor Collins

Oxford City: Salva De La Cruz; Luke Coulson, Paul Stonehouse, Mamadou Forfana, Lee Henderson; Jose Lapoujade, Lewis Wilson, Darren Pond (C), Tom Winters; Marlong Jackson, Declan Benjamin SUBS: Javi Rodriguez, Anders Del Alamo, Greg Pearson, Felipe Barcelos, Mark Scott

Referee: Simon Barrow

– The pair played out a 0-0 stalemate back in August but Heeley will be hoping his side can add to their goalscoring exploits of Saturday and, in particularly, Mike Symons to add to his five-goal tally against his former club.

– Welcome to Aggborough, the temporary home of the Blue and Whites, where Carl Heeley’s men will be looking to secure their first win in seven with a victory against Oxford City. To see our preview ahead of this evening’s game click here.
