LIVE updates from our man at Aggborough, Jonny Bonell, where Worcester City aim to cause another cup upset with a win against FC Halifax Town in their FA Trophy first round tie.

The live update has now finished.

– Another cruel defeat for the Blue and Whites here. An even matched game saw Boden’s finish five minutes from time make the difference. Worcester had their chances with Nti, Deeney and Murphy all going close as they once more held their own against higher league opponents. Carl Heeley’s side mounted late pressure but it wasn’t to be as they bow out of the FA Trophy in the first round. Thanks for following tonight.

FULL-TIME: WORCESTER CITY 0-1 FC HALIFAX TOWN

90+3min: That wasn’t that, Dunkley with a golden opportunity to level as he charged through on goal but slices his effort wide of the near post.

90+3min: Late pressure from the hosts as Weir cuts in from the left and unleashes a fierce drive which flies just past the land hand post. That could be that.

4 minutes added time.

87min: Yellow card. Dunkley now goes into the book for a rash challenge. Taylor comes on for Jackman in City’s final change.

More on goal: Boden made his way into the box and Hutchison threw himself  at the ball brilliantly but Boden picked up the rebound and smashed the ball past Vaughan.

85min: GOAL: Worcester City 0-1 FC Halifax Town – Scot Boden

83min: The closest either side have come. Roberts heads Smith’s free-kick against the post before Vaughan scrambles away the rebound.

82min: Deeney now tries a curler from about 30-yards which looked like a routine save for Glennon. The keeper does keep it out but seems to make more of it than is needed.

81min: Gater goes it alone, jinks his way between the Halifax defence before firing his effort just over the top.

76min: Yellow card: Hutchison goes into the book for a less than subtle foul on Maynard. Certainly took one for the team there.

75min: Good chance again this time for Worcester. Nti flicked the ball to Murphy in the box who powered a half-volley which Glennon did well to beat out before Nti’s acrobatics flew out the ground.

74min: Nti does well down the right and hooks high cross which Gater meets but heads just wide the post.

72min: Deeney leads the City break and plays in Geddes. But the midfielder goes for glory from 30-yards and doesn’t connect with his drive as it runs straight through to Glennon. Halifax make their final change as Dyer comes off for Jackson.

67min: Another chance wasted for the visitors as Jackman gave away a free-kick in a dangerous area but Hartfield floats it behind.

65min: Real chance here for the visitors. Smith beat Jackman down the right and set up a cross to the back post which Dyer somehow managed to head over.

64min: SUB: Dunkley comes on for Symons for Worcester.

62min: Geddes goes close now for City, he cut in from the right and hit a dipping shot which bounced in front of Glennon who nearly spilled the ball into his own net. Halifax keeper not having a great night.

60min: Yellow card Gater goes in the book for a cynical foul in the middle on Maynard.

56min: Halifax starting to turn the screw here at Aggborough but yet more solid defending from Rowe and Hutchison sees out the danger. Khan is now replaced by Gater in City’s first change.

52min: Probably the best chance for Halifax as Smith whips in a ball which is volleyed just over by Hatfield. Dyer then heads the resulting corner just the wrong side of the post.

49min: Horrible moment for Glennon in the Halifax goal. Robefts played the ball back to him and under no pressure he somehow slices his clearance behind himself for a corner. Delivery comes to nothing.

45min: SUB: Smith comes on for Marshall in Halifax’s second change of the game.

Attendance: 760

Teams back out and the second half is underway.

Not too much to shout about in the first 45. Sean Geddes bent an effort inches wide within the opening 22 seconds and Daniel Nti fired a fierce effort just over the bar with five minutes of the first half left. Physical encounter but still goalless at the break.

Half-time: Worcester City 0-0 FC Halifax Town

2 minutes added time.

41min: Best moment of the game. Great play from City. Switching it from left to right as Geddes played in Weir, the full-back laid it into Nti who had his back to goal but hit an effort on the turn which fizzed inches over the bar. Great effort.

38min: SUB: Matty Pearson comes on for Kevin Roberts as Halifax make their first change. No real sign of an injury.

32min: Great move by City down the left results in Khan playing in Symons whose shot is well saved by Glennon. Flag had already been raised so wouldn’t have counted.

30min: Half chance for Halifax as Maynard powers his way down the right and tries a cross-come-shot which flies harmlessly behind Vaughan’s goal.

26min: Best moment of the game so far. Nti bulldozes his way through the Halifax midfield and plays it square to Deeney who drilled a powerful effort which was tipped behind by Glennon. Corner comes to nothing.

23min: Nti burst into the box and seemed to be caught by McManus but the striker stayed on his feet and appeals were waved away.

21min: Geddes corner causes confusion in the Halifax box as Glennon comes out and misses his punch but the ball sails straight through and out of danger.

18min: Halifax looking physically stronger at the minute, wining the majority of the midfield battles but lacking that cutting edge.

15min: Both players back on the pitch and we are back underway.

14min: Weir now down holding his head following a collision with Hatfield. Trainers on the pitch.

11min: Weir makes a Williams-esque run down the right , he wins a free-kick which is quickly taken by Geddes but comes to nothing.

8min: Marshall tries to play in Boden but Rowe clears back to the midfielder. However, he lashes his half-volley wide of the target.

7min: Early pressure coming from the visitors. Weir – filling the right back void left by Williams – puts in a dangerous ball but it is well defended.

4min: The pitch certainly not helping things early on, ball bobbling around here quite a lot.

1min: Just 20 seconds on the clock and Nti flicks the ball into Geddes who attempts to curl the ball with the outside of his right foot but there’s just not enough bend on it and it goes out for a goal kick.

– Players have just welcomed Williams on to the pitch with a guard of honour. Nice touch from City, fans all on their feet applauding the player.
