Hooker Matt sidelined with foot injury

WARRIORS hooker Matt Moulds has undergone surgery to repair a long-term foot injury and will be out of action for around eight weeks.

Moulds, who joined Warriors from Super Rugby side Blues last year, had a screw inserted during the operation which it is hoped will stabilise and strengthen the foot.

Moulds has yet to resume training with Warriors and will miss the return to action if, as planned, the 2019/20 Gallagher Premiership season resumes on the weekend of August 14-16.

Tighthead prop Conor Carey is recovering well from the ruptured Achilles tendon which he suffered at Saracens in January.




Carey was initially expected to miss the remainder of the season but the suspension caused by the Coronavirus pandemic has allowed him time to continue his rehabilitation.

Although Carey is not expected to be fit by the time the season resumes, it is hoped that he will be ready by early Septemb
