Hogg in the hot seat - Gloucester

Worcester Editorial 8th Sep, 2016 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

THERE’S no getting away from the fact that tomorrow night is a big test for head coach Carl Hogg and his players.

The Sixways outfit will be looking to bounce back from their thumping Aviva Premiership curtain-raising defeat to Saracens.

We can forgive and forget last Saturday’s result though, as like Hogg and the players have said all week, ‘they’re the best team in Europe’.

But now dawns a test of a new kind, not only is it the first outing on Sixways’ new artificial surface, but it’s also against fierce rivals Gloucester – who will also be itching to get off the mark after a cruel opening defeat to Leicester.

So what will Hogg be hoping to see from his side tomorrow night?

After the first round of Premiership games, Warriors’ Marco Mama leads the way in tackles with 19. What does Hogg make of his flanker’s impressive performance against Saracens?

Observer reporter Aaron Wise will be at what hopes to be a packed out Sixways tomorrow night to provide live coverage of all the action from 7.45pm.
