A FAMILIAR face has been welcomed back to the Worcester City ranks this week with the return of striker Mike Symons.
The 6ft 3ins targetman rejoins the Blue and Whites after just one season away at Skrill Conference North rivals Oxford City, with whom the 27-year-old linked up with last summer amid the uncertainty at City.
Manager Carl Heeley said: “Symo informed me last summer he was going to leave and although it was not an easy decision for him and a bitter pill to swallow for us, we parted on the very best of terms.
“We struggled for a natural targetman last season, hence the reason for deploying Aaron Brown as a makeshift striker, and the big man returning will solve that problem.
“The player has had his best spells in a Worcester City shirt and we are very confident of getting the best out of him again and he also comes back to us very hungry and eager to make up lost time.”
