WARRIORS could secure Aviva Premiership safety this weekend if they beat Bath and Bristol lose to Wasps.
Director of rugby Gary Gold’s side have chipped away at teams since beating relegation threatened Bristol in March, having picked up three bonus points in their games against Wasps and Sale.
Despite Worcester edging closer to survival, Bristol are still in contention to pull off the great escape of chasing down an eight-point deficit, although, dare I say, that feat would be highly unlikely as the West Country outfit would need to pick up at least two wins from matches against Wasps, Saracens and Newcastle. Enough about the maths though.
Under Gold, Warriors have defeated Saracens and Bristol and taken two bonus points from Exeter at Sixways, so there’s a lot of eggs-pectation in this game. Let’s hope it proves to be a crackin’ contest. Sorry.
What does Gold make of his former club?
And is Gold worried his side can’t replicate their home performances on the road? Will he look to explore why?
