WORCESTER City have boosted their ranks with the signing of free-scoring midfielder Sean Geddes from neighbours Stourbridge.

The 22-year-old trained with Manchester United as a youngster before he signed a three year contract at Walsall at the age of 16.

In June 2011 he joined The Glassboys where he has scored 17, 18 and 28 goals in the last three seasons.

City boss Carl Heeley said: “I spoke with Gary Hackett (Stourbridge manager) yesterday about Sean and I was informed he was available for transfer and we agreed a very nominal fee for his services which we are delighted with.

“Sean has a super goal return and has a fiery side to his character which will compliment the rest of the City squad.

“We have been actively looking to add goals to the team and this capture should help this.”
