WORCESTER City slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Gloucester City in their latest pre-season outing as both teams finished the game with 10-men.

A trialist put Gloucester in front only for Felix Miles to draw City level with a fine free-kick from 25-yards out in first-half injury time at the TigerTurf Stadium.

And Gloucester had goalkeeper Jared Thompson sent off for handling the ball outside of the penalty area moments before Worcester drew level.

However, Worcester had Spencer Hamilton sent off just before the hour mark for a strong tackle just outside the penalty area.

The hosts reclaimed the lead three minutes from time when Kieran Phillips tapped home after good work from former City loanee Sopuruchukwu Obieri.

Worcester are next in action against Bishops Cleeve on Tuesday, July 29 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Kayte Lane.
