WORCESTER City have revealed Elliott Hartley, Nathan Hayward and Liam Lockett have all agreed to stay with the club for the 2025/26 season.

Hartley scored nine goals in 43 appearances for City last term and netted a crucial goal in Worcester’s play-off semi-final win against Anstey Nomads.

Lockett netted 10 times in 42 games in a productive campaign for the winger.

And Hayward managed 28 appearances in central midfield despite suffering from injuries throughout the campaign.

Worcester boss, Chris Cornes said: “Nathan had a couple of injuries that disrupted his season, but we are a more solid side with him in it.

“It was an easy conversation for both of us to retain him.

“He’s a Worcester lad, and I know how much it means to him to be at the club and play a part in the promotion last season.

“With Elliott, too, this was an easy conversation for us. He loves the club and is now the longest-serving member of the squad.

“He is a great lad and has played a huge part in the club’s fortunes over the past few seasons, with the relegation battle on to back-to-back promotions.

“I am happy to have retained his services.

“Liam is a brilliant player with bags of ability, who came through the club’s youth team, so it’s brilliant to have retained him.

“He had a bit of a hit-and-miss season, which probably didn’t help either with the change in formation.

“He wanted to stay at the club and be a part of what we are trying to achieve, and we wanted to retain him.”
