WORCESTER City brought an end to their four-game losing run in all competitions with a 3-2 victory against Hinckley LRFC.
Early goals from Taylor Townsend and Will Owens put City in command before Elliott Hartley grabbed the winner after the break at Claines Lane.
The result means Worcester sit fourth in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.
Chris Cornes’ side broke the deadlock on 18 minutes when Townsend curled a short into the bottom right corner of the goal from just inside the penalty area.
And City doubled their lead seven minutes later as Owens curled a free-kick around the wall and into the left corner of the goal from 25-yards out.
Hinckley halved the deficit on 65 minutes when Liam Read lashed a shot past Haydn Whitcombe after being played through on goal.
However, the home side restored their two-goal lead less than a minute later as Hartley volleyed in Townsend’s cross at the back post from close range.
Hinckley cut the deficit again on 78 minutes when Read scored his second of the game with a fine lob over Whitcombe.
However, City held on to exact revenge on Hinckley after losing to the same opponents in the FA Trophy earlier this month.
Worcester are next in action away at Darlaston Town on Wednesday, October 2 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Paycare Stadium.
