WORCESTER City have discovered which league they will play in next season after the FA released the National League System (NLS) club allocations for steps two to six.

City will play in the Southern League Premier Central in 2025/26 after clinching promotion from the Northern Premier League Midlands division via the play-offs last term.

Worcester have achieved back-to-back promotions under Chris Cornes and will play their home games at Sixways Stadium next season.

The FA’s decision to put Worcester in the Premier Central division means the club can look forward to a number of local derbies throughout the county.

City will play the likes of Alvechurch, Bromsgrove Sporting and Redditch United next season.

Worcester are one of four promoted clubs entering the division along with Bury Town, Quorn and Real Bedford.

And despite suffering relegation last term, Barwell have received a reprieve to remain at Step Three.

Needham Market have dropped into the division following their relegation from the National League North.

The other teams City will come up against next season are: AFC Sudbury, Banbury United, Bishop’s Stortford, Halesowen Town, Harborough Town, Kettering Town, Leiston, Royston Town, Spalding United, St Ives Town, Stamford, Stourbridge and Stratford Town.

The league comprises 22 teams.

All leagues are subject to FA Council ratification.
