WORCESTER City have confirmed the appointment of Phil Dutton to the club’s board of directors.
Dutton has spent much of his 35-year professional career working in the city of Worcester in banking and finance.
He brings a wealth of commercial finance expertise to the club and has advised and supported businesses across a wide range of sectors.
Dutton founded Autograph Finance – a commercial finance brokerage – and previously chaired the Worcestershire Ambassadors.
Dutton said: “I am both proud and excited to be joining the board at Worcester City.
“Having lived and worked in Worcestershire for many years, I know just how important the club is to the local community.
“I am looking forward to supporting Simon, Steve, and the wider team as we build on the fantastic work already being done, particularly around developing facilities and ensuring the club’s long-term sustainability.”
City owner, Simon Lancaster added: “I am delighted that Phil has agreed to join the board.
“Having previously been Chair of the Worcester Ambassadors, Phil is very well connected and respected within the business community, and will be a huge help to Rob and Karl on the commercial side of our operations.
“His background and current role as founder of Autograph Finance include working on business plans and raising funds, which is going to prove extremely valuable to us as we progress forward in the crucial area of developing our own facilities to work toward sustainability.
“From the moment I became majority shareholder I have been keen to add some new ideas and quality additions to the board to compliment the talented and hard workers we already had there.
“I am delighted that with what we had plus four great additions, it is now taking shape into such an energetic, focused and capable leadership group.”
