Fan's view: We need to be a team to succeed

A WIN against a side who were in National One last year should not come as a surprise.  Doncaster’s dreams of defending their proud home record were given a reality check as Worcester took control of the game in the first ten minutes and never let go.

The first round of Championship games is critical for us to build team spirit and momentum as we strive to reach the end of season playoffs.

Games like Doncaster give the players a reality check of what life is about and what needs to be done as a team to win.  The team is not the same players week in, week out – it is about a collective unit.

I see a team developing game by game and it will be interesting to see how the team ethos stands up to so called better players returning from injury and international duty.

For the first time in many years I see a squad developing, gaining momentum and moving away from predictable players on the team sheet every week.
