Fan's view: You could not make this bad luck up

LAST Friday’s game against London Wasps just about summed up our season.

First of all, the team bus caught fire en route to Wales to take on Ospreys in pre-season, then the crossbar fell down moments before our match against Gloucester at Kingsholm and then on Friday night the camera crane collapsed on to the North Stand.

No wonder the atmosphere was tense at Sixways. I don’t honestly think I can say I have experienced a mass mood like it and the tension at the death, coupled with intense disappointment at yet another close loss, marked what looks likely to be relegation.

The gods do seem to have made up their minds on our fate.

Although the final throw of the dice hasn’t taken place yet, it has to be said a loss on Sunday at Newcastle would surely put us down.

Neither Wasps nor Warriors really cut loose, apart from when David Lemi danced down the touchline before setting up Sam Betty for our only try.

But I think most fans felt Warriors had done enough to deserve the win before Wasps snatched victory with an injury-time score.

However, I don’t think relegation is necessarily a bad thing for us.
