WORCESTERSHIRE CCC batter Kashif Ali will return to first class action with Ghani Glass in the nine-team President’s Trophy in Pakistan.
The 26-year-old finished as Worcestershire’s leading run scorer in the County Championship last season as the Pears retained their Division One status.
Ali is again playing for Ghani Glass after making three appearances for the Pakistani side last winter.
He faces a schedule of eight group games in an eight-week period until the end of February.
Ali said: “Last winter’s experience was invaluable and stood me in good stead for when I went back to Worcestershire.
“We play eight successive rounds this winter but I’m looking to learn as much as I can from the experience, not only on the batting front but also with my leg spin which I want to develop.”
Ghani Glass begin their group campaign on January 14 with a four-dayer against Eshaal in Karachi.
The top two teams go through to the final which takes place in April.
Kashif has been playing club cricket in Pakistan during the first half of the winter.
Ali starred for Worcestershire with the bat last season, scoring almost 800 runs at an average of 42.61.
This included two centuries and five fifties in his first full year of red ball cricket.
