WORCESTERSHIRE CCC wicketkeeper Henry Cullen has signed a new two-year deal with the Pears.
The 22-year-old came through the club’s academy and debuted for the first team in the T20 Blast last season.
He will now remain with the Pears until at least 2027 and has scored 143 runs in red-ball cricket and 344 runs in the T20 Blast this campaign.
Cullen said: “I love playing my cricket here at Worcestershire, I feel like I am very much still at the start of my journey and I am really happy I can continue to grow here.
“I have been part of this club for a while now, and I want to kick-on and show my skills at the highest level. I know with the coaches and lads around me, I have the best environment to do that.
“Hopefully, I can keep scoring runs and helping the team out wherever I am playing, and when the time comes, take my opportunity to help this side bring back some silverware.”
Head coach, Alan Richardson added: “You get certain players each year that come through and catch your eye, Henry certainly falls into that category.
“He has an exceptional cricketing IQ for a young lad, and his ceiling for potential is so high, so naturally we are thrilled he will be continuing his journey here at Worcestershire.”
Cullen holds the record for the highest-ever score recorded by a Worcestershire batter in the Second XI Championship.
He scored 234 runs against Northants in 2024.
Cullen shared the club’s academy player of the year award with Ben Parker in 2021.
And the youngster won the Birmingham District League young player of the year award the following year
