WORCESTERSHIRE CCC suffered relegation from Division One of the County Championship following a draw against Durham.
The Pears took 12 points from the fixture which confirmed the club’s relegation at the Riverside Ground.
Worcestershire sit bottom of the table, 40 points behind Durham with one match left to play.
Alan Richardson’s side have managed one win from 13 matches this season and have lost seven times in difficult campaign.
However, the Pears showed promise with the bat against Durham, declaring on 591-9 which included centuries for Gareth Roderick (151) and Ethan Brookes (100).
Captain Brett D’Oliveira (84), Tom Taylor (66) and opener Rehaan Edavalath (61) also reached half-centuries.
However, Durham dug in with the bat and reached 450-6 on the final day before the two teams shook hands on an inevitable draw.
Opener Emilio Gay (161) and Will Rhodes (151 not out) starred with the bat for the home side while David Bedingham (58) registered a half-century.
The Pears will play in Division Two of the County Championship next year following a two-season stint in the top tier.
Worcestershire play Hampshire in the One-Day Cup final on Saturday, September 19 with play to start at 11am at Trent Bridge.
