WORCESTERSHIRE Rapids lifted the One-Day Cup trophy after sealing a thrilling three-wicket win against Hampshire in the final over.
The Rapids needed 13 runs from the last over of the rain-affected final at Trent Bridge.
And Henry Cullen scored the winning runs with a four from the only ball he faced after Ethan Brookes clubbed a half-century.
Hampshire posted 237-7 from 45 overs as opener Ali Orr recorded a century.
Chasing a revised target of 188, the Rapids lost Brookes, Rob Jones and Tom Taylor in the penultimate over.
And Matthew Waite smashed a six, either side of a two and a single, before Cullen found the boundary rope with two balls remaining.
Victory marks the first time Worcestershire have lifted the One-Day Cup since the competition launched in 2014.
Worcestershire won the toss and elected to bowl only for Orr (110) and Nick Gubbins (38) to put on 82 runs for the first wicket.
Waite (3-60) eventually broke up the partnership before Taylor (1-24) accounted for Fletcha Middleton (18).
Hampshire then lost Toby Albert (13) and Ben Mayes (2) in consecutive overs as Ben Allison (2-41) and Brookes (1-52) both struck.
Waite eventually claimed the wicket of Orr as he produced a fine grab to catch and bowl the centurion who hit 12 boundaries in a 130-ball innings.
Late runs from James Fuller (23) boosted Hampshire’s total as Allison returned to claim a second wicket before Waite accounted for Andrew Neal (1).
A lengthy break due to rain followed the Hampshire innings with the Rapids needing 188 from 27 overs.
However, the Rapids lost both openers in quick succession as Gareth Roderick (13) and Dan Lategan (18) fell inside seven overs.
Useful contributions from Kashif Ali (25) and Jake Libby (37) kept the Rapids in the contest as the Rapids recovered from 31-2 to 107-4.
And Brookes (57) then came to the crease and breathed new life into the Worcestershire chase with a 30-ball half-century.
Brookes fell with 20 runs still required as Jones (9) and Taylor (0) also fell in a disastrous penultimate over for the Rapids.
However, Waite (16 not out) scored eight runs from the first two balls of the final over before a single put Cullen (4 not out) on strike.
And Cullen scored the winning runs as Hampshire fielder Kyle Abbott fumbled a catch and fell onto the boundary rope.
