THE Worcestershire Cricket Foundation will host a festive ‘Walkers and Talkers event with Worcestershire CEO Ashley Giles later this month.
Former England cricketer Giles will act as the special guest for the event aimed at bringing people together for connection and conversation.
The event takes place on Monday, December 15 with a morning walk followed by food and a question and answer session with Giles.
Special guest Giles represented England in 54 test matches and 62 one-day internationals.
He also played a key role in England’s famous 2005 Ashes victory against Australia.
Giles will share insights from his playing days and speak about his career in the sport post retirement.
Giles said: “I’m delighted to be the guest speaker at the Walkers and Talkers Christmas special.
“Worcestershire County Cricket Club has always prided itself on being at the heart of the community, and the foundation’s work perfectly reflects that spirit.
“Supporting initiatives that bring people together, encourage conversation, and strengthen wellbeing is something I’m incredibly proud of.
“I’m looking forward to meeting everyone, supporting the Foundation’s fantastic efforts, and sharing a few tales from my cricketing career – some serious, some less so.”
A portion of the proceeds from all tickets purchased will support the Worcestershire Cricket Foundation.
