WORCESTER City have added further firepower to their ranks ahead of their 2015/16 Aggborough bow against Tamworth tonight (Tuesday).
Striker Jamie Spencer has joined on an initial one-month loan deal from Kidderminster Harriers and could feature in the clash against The Lambs.
Carl Heeley’s and Matt Gardiner’s men will be looking to pick up their first three points of the season after being held to a 1-1 draw at Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday.
Ryan Rowe bagged a goal on his league debut before Darryn Stamp cancelled it out with a late header. Kieran Morris will be available for the clash despite being sent off for two yellow cards at Northolme.
Sam Miniham is the only man unavailable to Heeley and Gardiner, with both Rob Elvins and Danny Jackman, who were left out of the 16 at the weekend, pushing for a return.
Tamworth got their National League North season off to a winning start with a hard-fought 1-0 win over North Ferriby United, thanks to a Elliot Durrell strike.
Ahead of the game Heeley said: “The pitch looks in good shape.
“We are looking forward to being back playing competitive football and if you have been in football most of your life you do miss it over the summer.
“You enjoy the break but you get itchy feet and want to get back involved and get the adrenaline rush, so we are looking forward to the next game.
“They (Tamworth) started well. It will be a good game, they are one of the favourites and rightly so, so we will see how it goes.”
The pair drew 1-1 at Aggborough last season.
Elsewhere, youngsters Dean Waldron and Jamie Smith have both left on one-month loan deals to Halesowen Town and Rushall Olympic respectively.
