City look to continue unbeaten run

Worcester Editorial 17th Oct, 2014 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

WORCESTER City are back to Conference North action tomorrow (Saturday) when they take on Harrogate Town at Aggborough.

Buoyed by their cup exploits – in which they beat Leamington 2-0 to make the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round – City are unbeaten in five and will be looking to secure back-to-back league wins.

Two defeats at Stockport County and Fylde were followed up by a 1-1 draw against Boston and a 2-1 win at Gainsborough in the Vanarama Confernce North to see Carl Heeley’s side in 11th ahead of the game.

Their FA Cup action means Worcester have dropped three places, from eighth, as their rivals took advantage of the games in hand.

The game may come to soon for Mike Symons, who Heeley admitted would be ‘touch and go’ as to whether he features. Graham Hutchison started on the bench in Tuesday’s victory but could be back in the starting XI tomorrow.

Tristan Dunkley is still out after dislocating his shoulder.

Harrogate, however, have struggled to replicate their fine form from last season and currently find themselves perched just three points above the drop zone.

Simon Lenighan returns from his three match suspension for the visitors but only one win in six away games sees the side from the North-East sitting in 18th place ahead of the clash.

A live blog will be available for the game at www.worcesterobserver.co.uk online.
