FORMER Nuneaton Town defender Anthony Charles has joined Worcester City until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old centre back made an impressive start to his City career with a solid display in the 2-0 victory against Gainsborough Trinity at the weekend.
Charles can count Football League sides such as Northampton Town and Plymouth Argyle on his CV and will be hoping to fill the void left by Graham Hutchison at the heart of defence.
Manager Carl Heeley said: “He is a fit lad, probably hasn’t played as much as he would have liked to have done but credit to him he has come in and I thought he has had a solid debut.
“He is a good organiser and he has talked really well across the back line.”
