WARRIORS have announced the signing of Paddy Anson as their new head of strength and conditioning.
Anson will begin his new role at Sixways at the start of next month after leaving Gloucester last summer.
He has a wealth of experience in the Aviva Premiership, having overseen the Exeter Chiefs strength and conditioning department for six seasons, before spending four seasons in the same role at Gloucester.
He has also spent the last six months working with GB Hockey and the English Institute of Sport at the National High Performance Centre, Bisham Abbey.
A former Royal Marine, Anson completed an exercise and sports science degree before combining a strength and conditioning role at Hartpury College with a Masters in coaching science at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Anson then spent one season at Sixways before taking up his role with Exeter.
Warriors head coach Carl Hogg said: “We welcome someone of Paddy’s experience to head up our strength and conditioning department at a crucial time of the season.
“Paddy is equipped with huge expertise and implemented some of the best training programmes in Premiership Rugby, during his spells at Gloucester and Exeter.”
Anson said: “I’m delighted to have made the move to Sixways and I’m looking forward to working with the players and staff.”
