WORCESTER City suffered a 3-2 defeat against lower division Chasetown in an FA Cup replay to exit the competition at the first round qualifying stage.
The replay went to extra time as Chasetown staged a late comeback to stun Chris Cornes’ side at the Scholars Ground.
City trailed at the break in regulation time only for Felix Miles to strike and send the game to extra time.
And Miles scored from the penalty spot just two minutes into the extra period to put Worcester ahead.
However, Chasetown equalised in the 100th minute and struck again eight minutes from time to dump City out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle.
Chasetown play one level below City in the Northern Premier League West division.
Worcester almost took the lead after just 10 minutes only for Teddy Rowe to see his effort from the edge of the penalty area crash against the crossbar.
However, the home side broke the deadlock on 34 minutes when Jack Langston finished on the rebound.
City equalised on 57 minutes as Miles collected a loose pass and fired a low effort into the net from the edge of the penalty area.
Neither side could find a winner in the remaining half-hour as the game went to extra time.
And Worcester won a penalty just two minutes into the extra period after Chasetown goalkeeper Curtis Pond fouled Rowe in the box.
Miles duly stepped up and made no mistake from the penalty spot to put the visitors ahead.
However, Chasetown substitute Joe Thompson drew the home side level on 100 minutes just moments after entering the fray.
The home side then had their assistant manager sent off before the hosts won a penalty after Shay Palmer fouled Ty Webster in the box.
And Langston converted from the penalty spot on 112 minutes to score his second of the game and also knock City out of the FA Cup.
Worcester are next in action against Kettering Town on Saturday, September 6 with kick-off at 3pm at Sixways Stadium.
