THE WORCESTERSHIRE Got 2 Sing Choir raised £147 for Macmillan Cancer Support by holding a coffee morning on Friday.
Members of the county group, which meets from 7.30pm to 9pm every Monday in the main hall at Woodgreen Evangelical Church, baked cakes, bought cakes and sang in their aprons.
Their cash was part of a £2,000 grand total generated by Got 2 Sing choirs across the Midlands for the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Choir leader Cathy Hart said: “I’m not so sure our waistlines thank us for it but it turns what is a fun rehearsal anyway into a real fantastic social event with lots of money raised for such a deserving cause to boot.”
Anyone wanting a free taster session can turn up to the weekly get-togethers at the church.
