Worcestershire cricketer charged with two counts of rape

A WORCESTERSHIRE CCC cricketer has been charged with two counts of rape following an incident in April of this year.

Alex Hepburn was charged on November 9 with the offence following an investigation by West Mercia Police into an incident on April 1.

Hepburn has been suspended on full pay by the New Road side pending further investigation.

He will appear at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, December 7

The club has also confirmed it is dealing a disciplinary matter involving Steve Rhodes which relates solely to his role as Director of Cricket.
