WALDRONS Solicitors, whose county headquarters are based in Sidbury, have recently raised £1,070 for the Mayor of Worcester, Coun Roger Knight’s chosen charity Daisychain Benevolent Fund Trust.
The law firm had offered their time free of charge to write wills for city residents in exchange for a donation to the charity, who support children and young adults in the community with illnesses.
After collecting all the donations, Waldrons received an invitation from the Mayor to attend the Guildhall to discuss the campaign and to present a cheque to Greg Rowe, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Daisychain.
Dawn Cash, the solicitor who led the campaign on behalf of Waldrons said: “I’m extremely proud we were able to support Daisychain in this way. It also helps us to raise awareness of the need for everyone to make a will.
“We hope the next ‘Wills Fortnight’ will raise even more money to help the charity continue with its excellent work in the community.”
Mr Rowe said: “Once again we’re delighted to be associated with Waldrons Solicitors and their charity will scheme.
“This wonderful donation will help us to buy new equipment for the Riverbank Children’s Ward at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and fund support services provided by our partner charity, the Teenage Cancer Trust.”
