ENTERPRISING Worcester care home residents are aiming to put paid to the myth that money doesn’t grow on trees.
The Belmont care home recently signed up to St Richard’s Hospice’s “Grow Your Dough” campaign.
The hospice provided residents at The Belmont with £40, and the challenge is to increase this amount through creative fundraising efforts such as raffles and events, all while supporting a cause close to the home’s heart.
Ria Simons, corporate fundraising lead at St Richard’s Hospice, visited the care home to officially launch the campaign.
And during her visit, The Belmont presented a £120 donation raised from their recent summer fete.
The “Grow Your Dough” campaign will run through November, and The Belmont team, together with their residents, are excited to see how much they can raise.
Home manager Stephanie Howard said: “It is an amazing opportunity for our residents to be involved and to come up with ideas of how The Belmont can grow the donation of £40 from St Richard’s Hospice.”
