A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a crash between a car and a bus on Bromyard Road.
The incident took place at 7.38am this morning when the woman car driver was thought to have have a medical episode prior to the collision.
Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene along with the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford.
“On arrival crews found the driver of the car, a woman, who’s believed to have had a medical episode prior to the collision. She received treatment on scene before being taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further treatment,” a WMAS spokesman said.
The road is currently closed and is likely to remain so for some time.
Due to the collision, First Worcester have confirmed the number 30 is currently diverting in both directions and is unable to serve St John’s Library, Comer Road and the Bedwardine Inn bus stops until the road re-opens.
