A CITY wine bar is celebrating success after raising £800 in memory of a Worcester teenager.
More than 80 people attended a ticket-only event at Bottles Wine Bar and Merchants which raised money for Place2Be, a charity which offers mental health counselling to young people.
The charity is close to the hearts of the event organisers, Ratan and Lucy Alexander, the parents of Felix Alexander, a King’s School student, who died in April 2016.
Guests enjoyed live music from 15-year-old Toby Platt, a friend of Felix also from King’s School and local band, The Fidgets, who both performed free of charge.
Owner Richard Everton, said: “It has been an absolute pleasure to be able to hold this fantastic event in our venue. We feel incredibly humbled by the amount raised this evening, it shows just how generous people can be for a great cause.”
All ticket sales from the event and the raffles have been donated exclusively to Place2Be.
