STUDENT golfers from the King’s School are raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support in Worcestershire this weekend as part of the Longest Day Golf Challenge at Ombersley Golf Club.
The ‘Whole in One’ team have decided to take part in the fund-raiser as the charity is particularly close to their hearts as they are all part of families who have been affected by cancer
Students have been raising money in school and hope to raise as much cash as possible for the charity which provides essential physical, financial and emotional support for people living with cancer.
The team will take on 72 holes in one day, starting their first round at sunrise, completing the final round at sunset, covering more than 20 miles all whilst carrying their own golf bags.
Team captain Todd Pinner said: “We’re really excited about taking on this year’s Longest Day Golf Challenge.
“It’s great to get a group of pals together, play some golf and raise money for Macmillan to help people living with cancer at the same time.
“I want to thank everyone who has supported us so far and is helping to make it a success.”
