A HOST of Worcester Warriors players will take to the Sixways stage next week as they star in Cinderfella.
The family-friendly pantomime will come to Sixways next Wednesday (December 12) when the highly-acclaimed Warriors cast embark on a magical Christmas journey to rescue Cinderfella’s lost kicking boot.
The script has been adapted by Warriors prop and scriptwriter Ethan Waller and is being hosted as part of Chris Pennell’s Testimonial Season.
There will be twists and turns along the way and plenty of jokes aimed at the Warriors players as they are taken out of their comfort zone for the evening.
Waller said: “The pantomime is loosely based on Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and the Wizard of Oz.
But there will obviously be a rugby influence and it will be based around Worcester.
“None of us have any acting experience so the amateur aspect will be one of the most entertaining parts of it.
“Luke Baldwin was one of the first players to volunteer and we’ve managed to get quite a few of the lads involved. I’m looking forward to watching everyone in a state of panic.”
Pennell said: “I’d love to say the players are looking forward to starring in the panto, but it’s a different world to the one we’re all used to so there are a lot of nerves around!
“Ethan has done a fantastic job with the script so I’m sure the audience will have lots of laughs and a great evening.”
The curtain rises at 6.45pm, with mince pies available from 6pm.
