Wanted Worcester teen hands himself in

Worcester Editorial 7th Feb, 2014 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

A TEENAGER who was being sought by police for breaching his release conditions from a custodial sentence, has handed himself in.

Darren Sutton, aged 19, reported to Worcester police station today (Friday) following an appeal for information concerning his whereabouts.

A press release and photograph was issued by West Mercia Police earlier this week appealing for public help in tracing him.

Sutton appeared before Worcester Crown Court last September admitting burglary and theft of a purse from a home in Northfield Street four months earlier.

He was sentenced to 14 months in a young offenders’ institution, released on licence on December 24 but recalled after failing to adhere to his probation conditions.

Sutton has now been arrested and is in custody at Worcester police station.
