WORCESTER’s historic Guildhall will play host to the city’s biggest Volunteer Fair as the curtain comes down on National Volunteering Week
Organised by Worcester Community Action with support from Worcester City Council, more than 40 voluntary sector organisations will be promoting their services at Friday’s (June 7) event from 10am to 2pm.
Groups will also be looking to promote the many volunteering opportunities that are available in Worcester.
Sally Ellison, Worcester Community Action Project Coordinator, said: “Volunteers are central to the work of countless charities and other organisations, making a difference in places as diverse as sports clubs, libraries, schools and hospitals.
“Worcester Volunteer Expo will give people who might be thinking about volunteering the opportunity to talk to different organisations about the many different roles that are available in the city.”
