Travelodge announce list of bizarre items left at county hotels

Worcester Editorial 8th Jan, 2021   0

WHERE would you find a pet rabbit called Roger, a diamond engagement ring, a runaway bride and a pink Vespa? Where else, but Travelodge’s lost and found Worcester office.

UK budget hotel brand Travelodge has revealed some of the interesting items left behind in its 563 hotels, including its five Worcestershire hotels, during the last 12 months.

With millions of people annually staying in a Travelodge hotel across the length and breadth of the UK, the hotel teams do have an array of interesting items left behind that they need to reunite with their customers. Detailed below are some of the more unusual treasures that have been left by customers in the company’s Worcestershire Travelodge hotel:

·       A Lalique horse sculpture

·       A wedding poem

·       A bottle of Cristal champagne and two Versace champagne glasses

·       A bunny rabbit called Rodger

·       A lawyers closing argument

·       A diamond engagement ring

·       A pin ball machine

·       A brand new MacBook pro

·       A runaway bride

·       A pink Vespa

Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge spokeswoman said: “With millions of customers annually staying at our 563 UK hotels, we do get a range of interesting items left behind.  This year’s audit for our five hotels in Worcestershire, includes a pet rabbit called Roger, a diamond engagement ring, a pink Vespa and a runaway bride who was found sobbing by a housekeeping team member.”

“Interestingly, as we kept some of our hotels open during both lockdowns to support local communities and provide accommodation for key workers, local authorities and for businesses that could travel for work we have seen a rise in items being left behind by medical professionals. This includes a stethoscope, scrubs, crocs and a nurse’s personal diary documenting their experience of working through the pandemic plus lots of personalised face masks.
