Time to delve into family history

Ross Crawford 14th Sep, 2018   0

A THREE-part workshop into researching family history is to be held at The Hive in Worcester.

Running on October 1/8/18 from 2pm to 4pm by Worcestershire Archive & Archaeology Service, it’s an opportunity to learn research techniques and tips for delving into the past.

Family History is very popular and the autumn is always a busy time for people wanting to begin investigating.

Lots of people intend to start tracing their family history but often are not sure where to begin, what the different sources are and can quickly feel overwhelmed.

The Archive & Archaeology Service has been helping people get started with their family history for years, offering advice and tips and in this three part workshop it will be explained how to begin, what sources to look at and where to look.

Outreach manager Paul Hudson said: “Family history is fascinating but often people don’t know where to start.

“These workshops will help explain what to do and how to get started here in The Hive where we have the expertise and resources to help.”

Places are £20 and need to be booked in advance. People can book by visiting www.thehiveworcester.org/whats-on
