Time running out for school applications in Worcestershire

Worcester Editorial 4th Jan, 2024   0

PARENTS are being urged to make sure they get their applications in for primary, first, and middle schools across Worcestershire as there is just over a week left to do so.

The easiest way to apply is online on Worcestershire County Council’s dedicated school admissions pages but it must be done before the deadline of January 15.

The site is secure and parents and carers can log on to the website at any time during the day or night. This means last-minute changes are possible up to midnight on the closing day.

Anyone without access to the Internet can get online at any Worcestershire library or, if additional assistance is required, the School Admissions team can be called on 01905 845900.

Worcestershire County Council Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Education at Worcestershire County Council, Coun Tracey Onslow said:

“Starting or moving to the next step of school is a significant milestone for children, and we want to ensure a seamless and smooth experience throughout this process.

“We are very pleased to be able to say that last year, over 93 per cent of children received their first choice.

“However, I cannot emphasise enough the importance of meeting the application deadlines to avoid any missed opportunities and ensure a place for your child.”
