Throwing their hands in at craft

Worcester Editorial 8th Mar, 2019   0

ART and Design students from Heart of Worcestershire College students were given the chance to experience pottery for the first time at a recent workshop at Honeybourne Pottery.

The ‘Pot Throw and Decorate’ workshop, funded by The Arts Society, Worcester, saw eight level three students, who are currently considering their career options, try their hand at throw pottery for the first time.

Student Emily Conway said it was her most enjoyable trip so far.

“Learning more skills in art gives me more options as to what I would want to learn more of and possibly turn into a profession,” she said.

Summer Lipscombe added: “The more skills I collect, the more likely I am to become successful and be accepted for jobs and courses.”

Another eight students will be attending the course at Honeybourne Pottery on March 13
