There will be spooky goings on at Worcester's Commandery this half-term

Worcester Editorial 12th Oct, 2017   0

WITH HALLOWEEN approaching families can visit the Commandery for a half-term ghost haunting experience, writes Lewis Glennon.

Children between the age of five and ten are being urged to face their fears and join the hunt by visiting, at either 11am or 2pm, on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, October 24, 26 and 28.

It also takes place on Halloween itself.

The Commandery has a 1,000-year history and Victorian ghost hunters Ethel and Florence are looking for assistants to help with their ghost hunt.

However, the ghost hunt is not just aimed at younger children. Older children and adults are also expected to travel to the heart of Worcester to test their fears.

There will also be events for younger children not keen to go ghost hunting.

At Halloween there will be a family fun day where children can wear fancy dress in an attempt to win the annual cat-walk parade, as well as a treasure hunt in the Commandery and the Fort Royal Park.

Refreshments will be available with the event starting at 5pm.
